“Both the prosecution and my son Kyle’s defense team have finished their closing arguments and I am beyond nervous,” she wrote in the email. “We have been fighting an extremely uphill battle from the beginning, but with the support of thousands of our fellow Americans we have put up a big fight.”

The Kyle Rittenhouse Defense Fund said in June that it had raised $464,111 since March 1 and processed payment for $362,050 in case-related fees.

“We can’t thank you enough for your help and support,” the fund wrote to its followers.

Jurors began deliberating on Tuesday for the trial. The 12-person jury is comprised of five men and seven women.
