Jan. 6 panel calls for social media firm data on ‘misinformation’ and ‘extremism’

The Home committee tasked with investigating the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol requested 15 social media corporations on Friday for data referring to “misinformation,” efforts to overturn the election, “home violent extremism,” and overseas affect within the election.
