Child bottles recalled after excessive ranges of lead are discovered

Baby-products firm NUK has issued a recall on its glass child bottles attributable to their ranges of lead.

The recall consists of NUK’s First Alternative 8-ounce glass bottles with white and grey stars meant for 0 to 6-month-old infants. All affected bottles have been bought on Amazon.

“For over 70 years, the NUK® model has been a trusted title in growing merchandise that assist the protected and wholesome improvement of kids,” NUK’s press launch learn. “The U.S. Client Product Security Fee and Well being Canada are voluntarily recalling NUK-branded glass feeding bottles that have been meant on the market within the UK and have been unintentionally bought to customers within the U.S. and Canada completely via third-party vendor, Astir Care.”


Fewer than 100 clients have been affected by the recall, based on the corporate.

The bottle’s lead ranges exceeded the U.S. federal lead content material ban, and such ranges may trigger hostile well being results. NUK is soliciting all bottles to be returned to remove future publicity.
